„Jando” und der Telescope Verlag haben mir gerade verkündet, dass ich aus über 1000 Einsendungen
den Titelsongcontest mit dem Song ”The sky is wide open” zum Hörbuch „Windträume” gewonnen habe.
Gesprochen wird es von Radost Bokel, Protagonistin des wundervollen Filmes „Momo” von Michael Ende.
Das Buch „Windträume” befindet sich schon seit Wochen in den Amazon Bestseller Listen. Wow!

Kurzbeschreibung
Lange habe ich mir überlegt, wie ich diese wundersame Geschichte beginnen soll.
In langen Abendgesprächen mit Freunden bin ich zu dem Entschluss gekommen,
dass ich dieses Erlebnis nie so wiedergeben kann, wie es sich mir dargestellt hat.
Meine Freundin Chrissi hat mich aber so weit ermutigt, alles so zu erzählen, wie
ich es empfunden habe. Viele von euch werden bei den ersten Zeilen an ein Märchen
glauben, andere wiederum an die Erzählung eines Träumers. Ich kann nur für mich
sprechen und sagen, dass jeder von euch Recht haben kann. Ich will mich jetzt
gemeinsam mit euch in eine Traumwelt begeben, dort, wo sich Fuchs und Hase
gute Nacht sagen. Aber allen Träumern dieser Welt, die sich mit mir auf diese Reise
begeben wollen, möchte ich Folgendes mit auf den Weg geben: Lebt eure Träume
intensiv, zeigt sie anderen, aber versucht nicht sie zu überzeugen, denn jeder Traum
ist einmalig - auch euer.

Videoproduction for Curfew meets Isgaard...

On may 14/15/16/ we were in Berlin to make a videoclip for the first single of the forthcoming album of CMI (Curfew meets Isgaard). The director was Marko Kegel and the cameraman/photographer was Frank Hinsel (http://www.myspace.com/frankspics). On the one hand it was a nice shooting, because Marko had planed everything very well (great locations and ideas) and Frank has „the eye“- a perfect feeling fort he moment and the perspective, on the other hand it was very cold (on Saturday 6°C) and it was terrible to get off my coat and my moonboots (!!). Perhaps it`s because the song is titled „Snowflake in June“…I am looking forward for the final thing – it will take some weeks for Marko and the editor to finish the clip.

Project Dino

Recently my producer Jens Lueck has made the soundtrack to a documentary movie called „PROJEKT DINO“. For several pieces I`ve done the vocals above all for the title-track called „Time-Trip“. The movie is about several trips of german scientists to Niger (in the heart of Africa) to dig for dinosour-bones. Beside the main-story there are lots of interesting informations and the film shows nice landscapes and the experiences during the expeditions. You find the DVD in my shop.

A Stranger touches Iceland’s Soul. The film ISLAND 63° 66° N at the SHORTS & DOCS film festival in Reykjavik from 22th to 29th of August 2008. A voice sounds... “The first time, I felt so deeply touched... by your beauty, your serenity... you belong forever into my life.” What may sound like a wonderful declaration of love to a woman is in fact the declaration of love to a country. To Iceland. It is the voice of the German filmmaker Stefan Erdmann and these are the first minutes of his two-hour nature film “ISLAND 63° 66° N“ released as a 2 DVD-Set in June 2008. For years ago, he set out with this film project. During this time, he made 13 trips to Iceland, shot some 300 hours of footage and travelled more than 20,000 kilometres across all of Iceland – always by himself. Erdmann: “Iceland... It was love at first sight – and became stronger every time. I was fascinated and overwhelmed by the beauty, diversity and uniqueness of the land. My intention was to make the most intense and emotional film about Iceland and at the same time provide the viewer with information.“ He was aiming high, and beyond question “ISLAND 63° 66° N” is an exceptional film, quite different in its entire style from other documentaries on Iceland so far. Extensive, calm shots with long dissolves, beautifully blended with the music composed specially for this film. Some of the titles were composed by Erdmann himself, the bigger part however, came from singer ISGAARD, her voice and the breathtaking shots of the landscapes create a perfect relationship. The film will be shown 24 August and 28 August during this year’s “Shorts & Docs“ film festival in Reykjavik. Erdmann: “I‘m extremely proud and happy that my film will be shown at the festival.
